ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Lead the formulation and alignment of Public Safety strategies, standards, and practices across the enterprise. Ensure the consistent implementation of Public Safety policies, procedures, and initiatives in line with organizational goals.Public Safety Technology Oversight: Oversee the deployment and management of Public Safety technology and infrastructure. Conduct proactive analysis of emerging Public Safety technologies and drive the integration of innovative solutions.Performance Management: Develop and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Public Safety and command center operations. Drive the development, review, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders related to Public Safety and command centers. Serve as a consultant on Public Safety matters, providing expertise and guidance on public safety and protection.Operational Oversight: Supervise Public Safety operations at various facilities, including hospitals, medical groups, specialty facilities, and support centers. Implement and manage public safety improvement projects and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.Training and Development: Lead the development and implementation of training programs for Public Safety communication personnel. Ensure continuous professional development and operational readiness through effective training initiatives.Contract and Vendor Management: Manage contracts and vendor relationships related to Public Safety technology and command center operations. Oversee centralized purchasing and procurement of Public Safety systems, supplies, and services.Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to Public Safety and command center teams across multiple states. Perform human resources responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, and staff munication and Reporting: Prepare and present reports on Public Safety performance and initiatives to senior leadership. Coordinate internal communications regarding Public Safety systems deployment and operational improvements.Operational Design and Talent Management: Design and direct the work of the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Select, coach, and develop teams, set objectives aligned with organizational strategy, inspire and motivate teams, and manage talent through performance management, succession planning, and development.Budget Oversight: Develop and/or recommend operating and capital budgets and control expenditures within approved budget objectives. Ensure adherence to the organization/'s Code of Ethical Conduct and compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification RequiredNone Required.Education RequiredBachelor's degree in criminal justice, Public Safety Management, or a related field.Experience RequiredMinimum of 10 years in Public Safety and public safety management, including at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within a healthcare or large organization.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredKnowledge: Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and Public Safety standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001). Expertise in information Public Safety management, risk management, and crisis response. Familiarity with cyberPublic Safety threats, network Public Safety principles, and data protection techniques.Skills: Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement. Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex Public Safety challenges. Proficiency in project management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Abilities: Ability to align Public Safety and command center initiatives with organizational strategies and goals. Capacity to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to evolving Public Safety needs and regulatory requirements.Physical Requirements And Working ConditionsAbility to handle emergency situations and manage Public Safety-related duties as needed. This position primarily operates remotely and/or in a professional office environment.
