Candidates must reside in Southern California.)Overall ResponsibilitiesPrepares design and construction documents and assists in architectural project solvingJob ResponsibilitiesLead or design small volved with project communication and documentation, along with project team task assignments.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing to clients, consultants, vendors and staffProficient with office standards as it relates to project documentationAssist in writing meeting minutes, change orders, RFI responses and professional correspondenceEstimate hours for assigned tasks and finish tasks within the agreed-upon budget hours for the task.Proficient in the documentation of project design such as three-dimensional modeling, product, or material research.Participate in office design charrettes.May participate in the development of design.Support design team and ensure that the design intent is followed through all phases.Assist in development of project documents during all phases of the project.Understand the organization of the contract documents.Assist in organization and generation of working drawings.Possess knowledge of drawing setup, layers, plotting/publishing, dimensions, blocks, attributes, purge/audit/recover, back up files, view ports.Assist in the development of architectural graphic standardsUnderstand technical terminology of the architectural and construction industry.Coordinate drawings with consultant drawings and specifications.Apply building code concepts of accessibility, occupant loads, exit widths, fire rated walls and doors, ramps, stairs and handrails, and interior environment.Prepare complex plans, elevations, and details under guidance of supervisor.Understanding of basic construction systems of walls, roofs, doors, and windows.Support the construction administration phase of a project by jobsite visits, assisting in review of submittals, shop drawings, response to RFI's, and preparation of instruction bulletins for changes.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of professional architectural experience, with senior-level job captain positions requiring 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in project management and team leadership.Acute healthcare experience preferred; candidates with DSA or life sciences backgrounds will also be considered for intermediate-level Job Captain rolesGood organizational skills and ability to work under own initiativeResponsive and dependable to meet deadlinesExcellent visual, verbal and written communications skillsWorking knowledge of architectural graphic standardsExceptional Revit and CAD skillsPlease Note: Delays may be experienced if uploading portfolio pdf.
