OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable leader to step in and stabilize a high-volume AP function currently undergoing operational and accounting challenges. This role will focus on bringing structure, visibility, and discipline to AP processes while partnering closely with leadership during a transitional period.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess current AP operations, identify breakdowns, and implement immediate stabilization measuresLead cleanup of AP reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of balancesEstablish and enforce best practices for AP processing, including invoice management, approvals, and payment cyclesAnalyze and manage AP aging, ensuring alignment with accounting expectations and financial reporting needsPartner with accounting and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and improve month-end close processesProvide leadership and direction to a junior AP team, elevating overall capability and accountabilityCreate clear documentation, controls, and scalable processes to support long-term successAct as a strategic partner while permanent AP leadership is being identified and onboardedQualifications10+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership rolesStrong expertise in AP reconciliations, aging analysis, and balance sheet integrityProven track record of stabilizing or transforming underperforming AP functionsDeep understanding of how AP integrates with general accounting and financial reportingExperience working in complex or high-growth environments with evolving processesHands"‘on leadership style with the ability to roll up sleeves and executeTravel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training.
