You will oversee pre-opening planning, hiring and training of store leadership, operational readiness, merchandising execution, compliance, and launch performance ramp-up. You will travel to opening markets and act as the on-site leader through grand opening and early-stage performance optimization.You are both a strategic architect and a field executor "” ensuring every new location launches on time, on brand, and on target.What You'll DoThe following duties are considered essential functions of the role, including but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.New Store Launch Strategy & ExecutionLead multiple concurrent store openings across different cities and regions.Develop and execute comprehensive pre-opening timelines from lease turnover through grand opening.Partner cross-functionally with Retail Strategy, Store Design, Visual Merchandising, HR, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure operational readiness.Validate site readiness by ensuring fixtures, merchandising layouts, supplies and inventory orders, tester standards, POS systems, safety compliance, and back-of-house organization meet OLIVE YOUNG global standards.Build repeatable launch playbooks and continuously refine opening processes for scalability.Protect the integrity of the brand experience across all new markets.Lead hiring for new stores in partnership with Retail Strategy.Recruit, onboard, and support the training of Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers prior to opening.Ensure leadership teams are fully trained in sales strategy execution, KPI management, inventory operations, cash controls, and compliance standards.Provide in-market coaching and transition stores to stable, high-performing local leadership.Serve as the on-site partner with Store leadership during opening weeks, ensuring adherence to brand, operational, and compliance standards.Support the launch of new store KPIs, sales targets, and its first 90-day performance roadmaps.Analyze early performance trends, traffic conversion, attachment rates, inventory flow, and shrink metrics.Implement corrective actions during the stabilization period (first 60-90 days).Operational Excellence & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws in each market.Validate cash handling controls, safety procedures, loss prevention protocols, and inventory accuracy.Oversee initial inventory allocation, replenishment calibration, and shrink mitigation processes.Conduct formal post-opening operational audits.Provide indirect oversight of Store Managers during launch phase.Act as a subject matter expert and escalate complex operational challenges to Retail Strategy.Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, data-driven decision making, and brand excellence.Requirements & Qualifications5+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including Store Manager-level or higher responsibility.Demonstrated experience leading new store openings or multi-unit operations.Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple complex timelines simultaneously.Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop store leadership teams.Deep understanding of retail financial metrics, including sales productivity, labor planning, shrinkage, margin, and inventory turnover.Experience coordinating cross-functional retail operations (construction, merchandising, supply chain, HR).Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Willingness and ability to travel frequently and extensively (up to 70% depending on opening schedule) with a flexible schedule to support business operations.
