This role will oversee the full-billing lifecycle for engineering projects in the water and wastewater sectors, as well as provide analysis and reporting specific to ongoing projects. Our collaborative work environment and inclusive operating philosophy allow us to maintain a positive work culture while providing excellent service to our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, process, and review accurate monthly invoices in collaboration with project managersMaintain and update project billing terms, budgets, and coding within accounting softwareGenerate and analyze billing, project, and financial reports for internal stakeholdersRespond to and resolve internal and external invoice inquiries professionally and promptlyMonitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, supporting collection effortsCollaborate with a three-person accounting team and report to the Financial ControllerReview and audit sub consultant invoicesMentor and support less experienced team members by sharing knowledge and best practicesAssist in refining billing workflows and documenting standard operating proceduresLeverage Deltek Vantagepoint or similar platforms for project accounting and reportingRequired:Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing/invoicing and accounts receivableHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent communication and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to follow existing processes and examples with accuracy and consistencyProficiency with general billing or accounting softwarePreferred:Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or other Deltek platformsBackground in the AEC industry (architecture, engineering, construction)Familiarity with project accounting, accounts payable, and financial reportingExperience with platforms similar to Deltek Vantagepoint (Unanet, BST, other)Compensation and Benefits:Compensation is based on experience and qualifications $30-$40/hour ($62,500-$83,200 annually, depending on experience).
