This project involves supporting the migration of dbt models from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg) while ensuring compatibility, performance, and best practices in their evolving infrastructure. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.ResponsibilitiesFixing and translating SQL syntax from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino Syntax in dbt models.Refactoring and optimizing data models, ensuring they align with best practices for Iceberg.Collaborating with analytics teams and workbook owners to validate and test the impact of migration work on Tableau assets.Managing version control for dbt models via Git and engaging in daily standups to execute migration priorities efficiently.Collaborating with engineering and analytics teams to ensure seamless model transitions and maintain quality data standards.Required Skills & Experience2+ years of experience in a data engineering, BI, or analytics role.Deep expertise in SQL with experience in multiple syntaxes (Redshift, Snowflake, and Trino), and a deep understanding of dbt, including model development, macros, and Jinja templating.
