The Personal Care Assistant is a vital part of our team, providing aid to our participants and contributing to the care planning process as a member of our interdisciplinary team (IDT). Reporting to the Day Center Manager, the Personal Care Assistant will provide safe delivery of personal care services to participants at the WelbeHealth day center. Why this Role is Different Collaborate with different departments within our day centers, building strong connections not only with participants but with team members as well Unlike in a traditional assisted living facility, Personal Care Assistants have the opportunity to care for seniors in a lively day center where participants receive full-service care ranging from medical appointments, to rehabilitation services, to playing games and participating in activities Benefits 401(k) savings + match Sick time accrual Day-to-Day Responsibilities Provide hands"‘on personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to WelbeHealth participants, including but not limited to assisting with escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and physical lifting when transferring participants Measure and document participants' vital signs as instructed Act as a medical escort when needed, assisting participants with boarding and exiting WelbeHealth transportation vehicles Oversee activity on the day center floor to assure participant safety Assist with meal service, ensuring participants receive the correct meals, as well as assist with feeding when needed Maintain personal care supplies such as incontinence supplies and grooming items Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Certification of Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant in California (CNA) preferred Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing personal care to seniors CA Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire Must be willing to work in multiple day centers as needed on an on"‘call basis Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred Compensation Per diem hourly rate: $19.11 - $25.22 USD. Compensation is based on a per diem hourly rate. WelbeHealth provides a comprehensive rewards package that includes a 401(k) match and accrued sick leave. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other relevant qualifications. Vaccination Policy WelbeHealth has a vaccination policy for all employees. Proof of vaccination, or a vaccine declination form will be required prior to employment.
