Requisition Number: 29192 Successful candidate will be supporting West Coast and other locations as needed and MUST live within a 50"‘mile radius of an AmeriGas facility as this is a Hybrid role working in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday when not traveling. Job Summary Support Field Operations and drive Regulatory compliance in accordance with the NFPA, OSHA, DOT, PHMSA, DHS and other applicable regulations. Manage compliance initiatives as outlined by the Sr. Director, Regulatory Compliance; Director, Field Compliance; and/or the Senior Field Compliance Manager / Trainer to improve system operations in accordance with all required standards. Act as the field operations primary expert regarding regulatory compliance. Key Characteristics Considered a technical expert regarding regulatory standards, codes, and regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to interface with all levels of the organization, with specific strengths in setting and managing expectations Ability to extract, disseminate, and translate technical information to stakeholders across all levels of the organization Duties and Responsibilities Support the review and maintenance of assigned Safety Department Policies and Programs. Responsible for driving the OPS and DHS programs within the Divisions and dotted line supervision of OPS field employees. Gather and maintain OPS system data for required reporting. Regularly evaluate the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual as it relates to jurisdictions within the Divisions. Ensure understanding and compliance with all updated policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance changes within the Divisions when applicable. Work with the Senior Field Compliance Manager / Trainer to identify and evaluate major pipeline repairs and/or upgrades and assist in the establishment of capital projects as needed. Manage the qualification and hiring of outside contractors; includes OQ task(s) qualifications. Audit all new or acquired pipeline systems. Implement training for any equipment purchased in the districts for the purposes of supporting OPS Compliance. Support Senior Field Regulatory Compliance Manager/Trainer in the performance of engineering field trials related to new equipment and devices to determine their feasibility and maintainability in the field. Provide technical support on pipeline systems to and liaison with the Area Teams on a regular basis, including subject matter expertise. Provide compliance and technical support in emergency situations. Provide support and guidance to Directors, Pipeline Supervisors, and Field Safety Managers as needed. Work with District management and teams to ensure prompt and effective mitigation and repairs of all identified audit discrepancies. Represent the company at facility agency inspections in a professional manner. Perform follow up and responses to agency inspections in a professional and timely manner. Monitor compliance of scheduled maintenance tasks within the SAP system. Manage and oversee (in partnership with operation Directors) OPS compliance calls in appropriate frequency to the number of systems in existence as specified by the Senior Field Regulatory Compliance Manager/Trainer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Detailed knowledge of the propane industry and/or pipelines and applicable standards, codes and regulations. Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development skills. Demonstrated writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively to large groups. Education and Experience Required Engineering Degree preferred, or a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the propane industry and/or pipelines may be substituted. Have experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of propane pipeline systems, storage and distribution equipment. Computer skills (Microsoft Office and basic internet) required. Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to hazardous or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts and flammable materials. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud. The pay for this position ranges from $77,400.00 to $90,000.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
