Complex Civil Litigation Associate (1+ Yrs Exp)Remote role; must be licensed in California.Base pay range: $125,000/yr - $210,000/yrA litigation-focused firm with a national reach seeks an early-career associate to join its team. The role involves handling complex, high-stakes matters across multiple jurisdictions, supporting senior counsel in national litigation strategy, and building meaningful client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop case strategy and litigation arguments with minimal supervisionDraft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materialsConduct and defend witness depositions, including experts and corporate representativesAppear for court proceedings, including motion practice, conferences, and mediationCollaborate with multi-firm defense teams and manage tasks for support staffPrepare case assessments, risk evaluations, and client communicationsContribute to client development through professional engagement and communicationMaintain timekeeping compliance and contribute to team efficiencyQualificationsJ.D. and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction1+ years of relevant litigation experience in a private practice settingBackground in mass torts, toxic tort, product liability, class actions, environmental, or commercial litigation is idealStrong research, drafting, and communication abilitiesHighly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple workstreamsPrior experience with legal practice management software is a plusAbout the Firm / Why Join UsWe are a dynamic litigation firm with a national reach, handling complex legal matters nationwide.
