Not every engagement touches all of these, but the right person should be able to go deep in most: Procurement & Sourcing "” supplier evaluation, vendor negotiations, sourcing strategy, spend analysis Manufacturing & Production "” production planning, capacity analysis, BOM creation, lean principles, process streamlining Inventory Management "” demand planning, safety stock optimization, warehouse operations, SKU rationalization Distribution & Fulfillment "” network design, warehouse management, order fulfillment, 3PL evaluation Supply Chain Technology "” ERP evaluation, module addition/configuration, data cleanup and restructuring, automation M&A Supply Chain Diligence "” target assessment, integration planning, synergy identification, risk analysis Client Profiles Our clients span agriculture & food, manufacturing, distribution & logistics, professional services & technology, healthcare, and nonprofits. BEI can help any organization that needs to improve how it operates. Given BEI's deep roots in agriculture, experience in ag-related industries and food and agriculture companies is strongly preferred "” including produce, food processing, ag inputs, cold chain, or related supply chains. Candidates who understand seasonal rhythms, perishability constraints, food safety requirements, and the relationship dynamics of agricultural supply chains will have a significant advantage. That said, strong practitioners from other industries who can demonstrate adaptability will absolutely be considered. What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day Hybrid/remote "” Yuma, AZ preferred but not required. If Yuma-based, periodic face-to-face team meetings. Most clients are outside Yuma, so periodic travel is required regardless of location. You will be in client meetings with owners and executives, presenting findings, leading discussions, and facilitating decisions. BEI is a small team. You do your own analysis, build your own deliverables, and manage your own workstreams. You'll collaborate closely with the finance advisory and operational strategy teams on integrated engagements. You'll help build BEI's supply chain practice "” frameworks, templates, diagnostic tools, repeatable methodologies. Who Thrives in This Role You're a practitioner, not a theorist "” you've managed freight, negotiated with suppliers, redesigned production schedules, or optimized a warehouse, and you can explain the why and the how in plain language. You can read a room as well as a spreadsheet "” you earn trust with business owners quickly and translate complex realities into clear recommendations. You think in systems "” you see how sourcing affects margins, how logistics impacts delivery, and how a bottleneck ripples through the business. You've worked with ERP platforms and know what clean data looks like. You build as you go: BEI's practice is being built from scratch, and that excites you. You're energized by variety: freight contracts one week, BOM restructuring and ERP data cleanup the next, M&A due diligence after that. Our Core Values Extreme Ownership. We own our areas completely. No finger-pointing, no waiting for someone else. We also understand the weight that business owners and leaders carry, and we partner with them in a way that demonstrates that understanding.
