Overview Controller | Lead Finance & Accounting Function - Hybrid Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 per year This Controller role is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing scalable processes, and maintaining strong internal controls. The position reports directly to the CEO and manages a team of internal accounting professionals while transitioning offshore functions back in-house. Leadership & Team Development: Supervise approximately four internal accounting staff; transition offshore accounting functions back to internal teams; coach and develop staff to build a high-performing team. Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, reconciliations, tax compliance, and fixed assets; maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures; lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals. Process Improvement & Systems: Evaluate and improve accounting systems and tools to streamline processes; standardize workflows and strengthen internal controls to support growth. Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership on financial strategy, planning, and business decisions; identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce risk, and scale finance operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus. 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3-5 years in a leadership role. Deep knowledge of GAAP and strong technical accounting expertise. Proven ability to manage teams, streamline processes, and implement accounting best practices. Experience with financial close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems/ERP software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
