Job Description

Your RoleThe Pharmacy team provides pharmacy benefit management services and strategies to support Blue Shield of California's affordability and membership goals. The Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management will provide pharmacy accounts and sales support and will report to the Director, Pharmacy Services. In this role, you will support pharmacy membership growth and retention strategies and initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for the leadership of the pharmacy accounts and sales support team to support employer group account management and client renewal, as well as new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership. This role will also play a critical part in supporting pharmacy products and initiative strategies development. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.Your Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a college degree or equivalent experienceRequires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experienceRequires prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultantsRequires prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of pharmacy contracting tactics and marketplace requirementsExcellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferredStrong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferredProficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferredHybridThis role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into office two days each week.
