The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. Our team members are responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultations and procedures, through the following responsibilities:Responsibilities:Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies before each appointment.Engage and focus on the patient experience.You will be responsible for gathering patient information, informed consent, and payment informationAssist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and patient follow-up appointment schedulingProvide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family membersAccurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as requiredComplete logs and send specimens to the laboratoryYou would be required to go to other locations throughout the weekYou will perform other tasks and duties as directedTravel is required for this positionExperience and Education:2 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experienceMedical Assistant (MA) Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification are preferredHands-on experience in a clinical settingExperience with EMRDermatology or surgical experience is preferred.POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKFull-TimeMonday-FridayWe offer competitive salaries and benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision are available after 30 days of hireShort-term disability and life insurance, along with many ancillary options. 401(k) available after 90 days of hireExcellent growth and advancement opportunitiesLocation: GadsdenAQUA Dermatology is the Southeast's premier and largest medical and cosmetic Dermatology practice, with over 110 locations throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
