This contract position focuses on adult acute care, with responsibilities spanning Intensive Care, Progressive Care, Emergency Department, and general floor therapy. Schedule: Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 36 hours per week Every other weekend required No block scheduling Holidays as needed Desired Qualifications: Valid NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Active New York state license Current ACLS and BLS certifications Two years of recent acute care experience For non-U.S. trained clinicians, a minimum of two years U.S. work experience Must live more than 50 miles from the facility Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe and effective respiratory treatments in ICU, PCU, ED, and general floor units Perform comprehensive assessments of adult patients with respiratory challenges Provide ventilator management, airway care, and emergency interventions as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop care plans Document all treatments, changes in patient condition, and interventions accurately Adhere to established protocols and evidence-based practices Participate in routine and emergency procedures and respond promptly to rapid response calls This contract role offers valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
