A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Iowa. The assignment is set to begin in mid-to-late May and will last approximately 13 weeks, offering a well-structured Monday through Friday day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts. Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses on medication management, and applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care. This role is integral to supporting the hospital's clinical services and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will have prior hospital pharmacy experience, providing familiarity with the fast-paced and dynamic environment of inpatient care. Possession of an Iowa pharmacy license is preferred, or the ability to obtain a temporary Iowa license to legally practice during the contract period.
