The group's mission is to improve the health of the patients in the communities we serve by providing them with the highest quality, specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy and associated medical care. A full range of outpatient diagnostic and interventional services is offered though Invision Sally Jobe. The breast care service lines are staffed solely by the breast radiologists.Summary of Position: Assists radiologists and biopsy personnel with biopsy procedures as well as being responsible for procedural supplies and paperwork. Assists technologists with patient care duties as necessary.Job Responsibilities:Assist with sterile procedure trays preparation and sterile equipment (under guidance of an RN, draws up medications used to treat breast biopsy patients, this does not include any class scheduled controlled substances).Assists with patient post-procedure as needed. Holding immediate pressure on biopsy area, placing compression bandage, maintaining homeostasis on patients who have post-operative bleedingComplete the post care instructions with the patients before they leave the center.Turnover of biopsy rooms between breast proceduresOrders, sorts, and stocks supplies and all necessary equipment for all biopsy rooms - following all the HCA requirements with procedure supply par-levelPerform quarterly inventory for Breast Procedure Suite suppliesWash and sanitize biopsy instruments following procedures.Required to respond to medical emergency including administering CPRAssists patients with positioning on exam tableAssists patients to prevent fallsAssist with scheduling, obtaining orders, and interacting professionally with other office personnel.Dispose of hazardous waste and sharps as neededEnter all patients name and information into the CSC log book for patient follow-up records.Fill in for biopsy and diagnostic schedulers, front desk staff, as well as phone support staff when needed.Make pre-op calls to patients 2 days prior to exams.Organize paperwork for radiologist review for all patients for next business dayPreoperative planning for patients to ensure appropriate prep is completed before patient's biopsySchedule review for patient changesPre-procedure case management review on a daily basis for Radiologist supportCompletes other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneExperience/Skill Requirements:Prefer minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical environmentHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be able to read, write, and speak in EnglishKnowledge of sterile techniqueComputer literateExceptional customer service skills and ability to act in courteous and professional manner at all timesAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentAbility to adapt to various situations, work independently and a quick learnerGood organizational skillsFlexible, dependable, and reliableAbility to take initiative to complete all tasks under minimal supervisionMust be able to lift 50 lbsBLS credentials requiredCompensation for this role is between $23 to $28 per hourIn accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
