Job Details Location: Chester, SC 29706 - Chester, South Carolina (easy commute to Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC) Assignment Type: Locum tenens / per diem / contract; full-time coverage available for 90 days with strong likelihood of extension Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,850 - $4,480 Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week Shift Length: 12-hour shifts; schedule may include a mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts - flexibility required Start Date: May 18, 2026 Setting: On-site hospital CRNA coverage (perioperative and endoscopy suites) CRNA Job Requirements Active South Carolina CRNA license (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) required Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience providing general anesthesia across multiple case types (orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy) Ability to provide consistent coverage (3-4 weeks/month) with high reliability Comfortable working independently as an anesthesia provider in a community hospital setting Flexible to work varied schedules including 5x8s, 4x10s, and 12-hour shifts BLS required; ACLS preferred. Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia (USGRA) and peripheral nerve block experience strongly preferred Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care for a range of cases including orthopedics, general surgery, and endoscopy Perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks (USGRA, spinal anesthesia blocks, lower extremity blocks) Manage airways and perform advanced airway interventions as needed Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and perioperative teams to coordinate patient care Participate in orientation, onboarding, credentialing, and required hospital training modules Provide reliable locum tenens coverage and adapt to variable schedules to support hospital staffing needs This locum tenens CRNA position is ideal for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists seeking flexible anesthesia jobs in South Carolina with competitive pay and varied clinical experience.
