What You ll Do: Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision in a pediatric emergency settingPlace IVs and perform phlebotomy with precision and careGreet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist with exams and proceduresMeasure, record vital signs, and monitor patient progressSupport physicians during examinations and procedures, including injections and PapsAssist with administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, chart preparation, and insurance authorizationsMaintain clinical areas and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standardsUtilize Electronic Medical Records effectively to document patient informationObserve and report patient responses, contributing to optimal care outcomesCollaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth unit operationsRequired Skills: Current New York State LPN LicenseAbility to obtain and maintain CPR certificationMinimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in an inpatient or emergency settingProficiency in IV placement, phlebotomy, and pediatric patient careStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently with confidenceNice to Have Skills: Experience in Pediatric Emergency DepartmentsPrior use of Electronic Medical Records systemsKnowledge of insurance authorizations and referral processesPreferred Education and Experience: Licensed Practical Nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experiencePrior inpatient or pediatric emergency care experience highly desirableOther Requirements: Working the 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and some holidaysAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionWillingness to perform routine clinical and administrative duties as neededValid licensure and certification in accordance with state regulationsThis is an excellent opportunity to advance your nursing career while making a meaningful difference in pediatric health.
