This role moves fast - you'll be supporting active caseloads from intake through trial, working closely with one attorney who values a highly capable assistant who can anticipate needs and keep things running smoothly. The role is temp-to-perm or direct hire depending on fit.In-office full time during onboarding (approximately the first month); schedule flexibility may be available after you've found your rhythm and demonstrated your capabilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive day-to-day administrative and litigation support to a senior attorneyManage and organize case files, correspondence, and legal documents across an active docketCoordinate scheduling including depositions, hearings, expert appointments, and internal meetingsPrepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and court filingsTrack deadlines and court dates; maintain calendars with precision and follow-throughCommunicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and expertsAssist with discovery organization, bates stamping, and document managementHandle e-filing and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirementsManage incoming mail, phone calls, and general correspondenceSupport trial preparation as neededQualificationsPrior experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal in a litigation setting strongly preferredFamiliarity with medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil defense matters is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with legal practice management software a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines without losing composureProfessional, discreet, and client-service orientedMust be a self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what needs to be doneRequirementsFull-time, in-office availability required for the first month of employmentHybrid flexibility may follow based on performance and workflowMust be available to start promptly - this is an active need (temp or perm placement welcome)Interested in hearing more?
