Hank’s Bagels is looking for an  Assistant Store Manager   to support operations at our  Burbank and Sherman Oaks locations (yes, shifts in both spots!) . We're a family-owned company that started as one small bagel shop in 2019 and has grown to multiple locations, a central commissary bakery, and a food truck. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us. We love to promote our leaders from within! At Hank’s, managers are hands-on:  you’ll be supporting the team on the floor and helping with key operational responsibilities. We work hard and laugh hard, led by managers who believe in hospitality and feel that no job is too small.Job duties include: - Ensure smooth day to day operations at both locations- Lead shifts and support the team during service- Work hands-on both as a sandwich maker/cook and a FOH staffer - Assist the Store Managers with staff scheduling and shift assignments- Assist store managers with basic administrative, HR, and operational tasks- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws including meal and rest period management- Help maintain Hank's standards for food quality, service, safety, and cleanliness-Jump in to help where neededThe ideal candidate will have:- At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience   in a restaurant, food retail, or hospitality environment-Ability to model the Hank’s culture :  hard-working, humble, positive, and team-first- Comfort and competence with both Front of House and Back of House , including line cook responsibilities (it's okay if you have done one more than the other--we'll teach but you have to be willing and ready!)- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multi-task and stay calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment- Solid communication and arithmetic skills- Ability to work day shifts starting early in the morning, including weekends and holidays as needed- Flexibility to work shifts reliably in both Burbank and Sherman Oaks- Track record as a leader who fosters teamwork and staff buy-in- Ridiculously good hospitality and service skills- Passion for excellent food In addition to a competitive hourly rate and opportunity for advancement, Hank's offers:- Paid time off  - Paid sick time - 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match - Medical, dental, and vision plans for eligible employees- Employee discounts and staff meals- Such!
