Business Development Manager - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates proprietary products and specialty engineering services to create highly engineered solutions that sustain and enhance civil infrastructure across a broad range of end user markets. We serve owners and managers of infrastructure, designers, engineers, and general contractors in North America and select international markets. We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for the Western North America territory. This remote position will report to the Water/Wastewater Director of Sales and support our current Water/Wastewater sales team by developing new and strengthening existing client relationships where our technologies and capabilities can be best utilized in treatment plants, pipeline systems, and other civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Proactively set up and participate in web"‘based meetings, in"‘person meetings, email and phone conversations with potential and existing clients to develop, maintain, and grow relationships. Update Salesforce with new contacts obtained from business interactions, conferences, and presentations. Create and maintain a database of Water/Wastewater contacts in Salesforce, including details from key interactions and knowledge about underground/pipeline systems and balance"‘of"‘plant civil infrastructure. Identify, cultivate, and develop project opportunities through proactive client interactions. Evaluate and communicate critical information about potential projects to facilitate go/no"‘go discussions. Participate in project review calls and maintain up"‘to"‘date Salesforce entries for projects. Assist with drafts of proposals and necessary revisions. Review and promote technical specifications. Assist with assembly of packages and submittals. Attend job"‘site walks and pre"‘bid meetings as needed. Draft technical packages for submission on projects and for internal discussions. Attend industry events and trade"‘shows. Draft summaries of projects for use as case histories on the website and abstracts (or papers) for submission to technical conferences. Join, attend, and maintain active status on industry technical committees relevant to the Water/Wastewater market. Collaborate on developing marketing content for e"‘blast newsletters and the Water/Wastewater portion of the Structural Technologies website. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Willingness to travel approximately 50"¯%. Minimum 2"¯years of professional experience related to the water/wastewater industry and civil/mechanical/structural engineering or construction activities. Strong client"‘relationship development skills and a track record of building long"‘term relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with Salesforce or other CRM systems. Preferred Experience Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, business, or marketing. 5"¯+"¯years of experience in sales, operations, project management, or engineering within the Water/Wastewater market.
