Interim Traveling Executive Chef Southern CA The Traveling Executive Chef plays a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of culinary operations at assigned communities This position involves supporting daily operations by providing interim coverage for Executive Chefs participating in key events and maintaining high service standards Travel Requirements Up to 95 Travel Required Travel to assigned Communities based on need and priority Travel assignments may be for extended periods of time and may frequently change; flexibility and availability are required This is an assignment based interim role Work is offered as operational needs arise across the regions While individuals in this role may receive multiple assignments throughout the year employment and compensation apply only during periods of active assignment This position will eventually lead to a permanent community Executive chef role Salary range 80000 to 85000 Responsibilities Provide interim coverage as the acting Executive Chef where assigned Lead recruiting efforts for all culinary positions in both back of house BOH and front of house FOH at assigned community Ensure an amazing candidate experience during interviews and support chef testing as needed Lead culinary community operations focusing on food production menu execution and service standards Understand and articulate all community aspects of Executive Chef role and culinary operations maintaining excellence in culinary culture within the community Execute onsite events as assigned and collaborate with marketing teams to enhance culinary services Lead recruiting efforts for all culinary positions in both back of house BOH and front of house FOH at assigned community Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Associates Degree in Culinary Program or Hospitality Management or equivalent experience Prefer 3 years multi site experience in food service operations and hospitality Prefer 5 years experience leading and supervising teams Proven experience in culinary operations particularly in management or leadership roles Strong knowledge of culinary practices menu execution and service standards Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills Ability to train and mentor team members while fostering a positive workplace culture Familiarity with culinary software and ordering platforms preferred Strong communication and presentation skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Must pass a Criminal Background check May require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines With communities across California Hawaii and Nevada opportunities for career growth relocation and travel are significant In addition eligible team members may enjoy the following benefits Medical Dental and Vision benefitsVacation Personal Day Sick Pay HolidaysComplimentary MealsCompany Paid Life InsuranceTeam Member Discount Program LifeMart401k Savings Plan with Company MatchRecognition ProgramsStudent Loan RefinancingPet InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramEmergency Financial AssistanceOakmont Management Group based in Irvine California is a recognized leader in the senior living industry that manages a portfolio of communities under the Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living brands OMG serves thousands of seniors across communities in California Nevada and Hawaii At OMG we strive to create an atmosphere of family and community among team members residents and resident family members We know that caring and meaningful relationships are the foundation of a rewarding life and our team is hand selected for their skills previous experience and passion for working with the elderly Our practice is to incorporate joy and laughter alongside our expectations of excellence Walk into our communities and feel our pride of ownership and commitment to service Oakmont Management Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer
