Description We are on the lookout for a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our finance team in Bloomington, Minnesota. The primary role of a Sr. Accountant in our organization includes managing all financial transactions, from regular payments to bank deposits and budgets. The Sr. Accountant will also be involved in maintaining the company's financial records, including ledgers and tax compliance, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. u2022 Ensure the maintenance of the company's financial records, including receipts and ledgers. u2022 Handle the preparation and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations. u2022 Assist in annual budget and financial forecasting processes. u2022 Maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting processes and reporting. u2022 Ensure compliance with GAAP and keep meticulous records for audit purposes. u2022 Engage in the management of fixed assets, including adding and disposing of assets, verifying coding of invoices, assignments of book/tax lives, and calculation of depreciation. u2022 Assist with tax audits and tax returns and review financial reports to identify ways to reduce costs. u2022 Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements u2022 Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar position u2022 Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations u2022 Demonstrable experience with general ledger management and journal entries u2022 Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential u2022 Familiarity with month-end close procedures u2022 Experience in using NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software is highly desirable u2022 Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices u2022 A detail oriented qualification in accounting or related field is preferred u2022 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team u2022 Strong organizational and multitasking skills u2022 Proficiency in time management and ability to meet deadlines.
