Offering an unmatched, 360-degree solution set for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential, highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions on the planet.Events by RHC is looking to hire experienced Prep Cooks.This role will pay an hourly wage of $20 to $23.For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.EVENTS BY RHCIS A BOUTIQUE OFF-PREMISE CATERER BASED IN NEW YORK CITY.Inspired by international cuisine, modern dining and exceptional service, we proudly bring a modern take to event dining.The brand is based on knowledgeable and passionate people offering impeccable service, deliciously different menus and a creative culture.Assists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assignedEnsure stations are prepped and ready for the start of service.Understands kitchen equipment and the operation of equipmentMaintains a clean work environment, including floors and passagesCleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management teamAssists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organizedPerforms all duties in accordance with the standards established by the NYC Department of HealthPerforms other duties as assigned1-2 years of experience as a prep or kitchen assistantin a high-end, high-volume, fast-paced NYC kitchen (or comparable)Professional work ethicEffective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisorsAbility to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment.Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issuesKnowledge of Health Department food safety and sanitation standardsAbility to lift, pull, push, carry up to 30 pounds/ stand for extended periods of timeAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
