We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.As the Youth Liaison, you will support youth accessing services at the One Stop Centers. The Youth Liaison will guide youth to the programs that can support their educational and employment goals. The Youth Liaison will remain up to date on local youth resources and guide youth through the registration process for provider services. Successful Elements:Identify young adults aged 18-24 through initial assessment and inform them of available WIOA Adult and WIOA Youth servicesReview WIOA intake application and supporting documents compiled by providers and certify WIOA Youth eligibility in accordance with federal, state and CWP policyWork with Site Manager to identify candidates for the programTrack youth referrals to programs using ETOIdentify AJC youth customers who are suitable for co-enrollment in WIOA Youth programs and assist JFES Career Agents and WIOA Youth providers to coordinate servicesCollaborate with local area training providers and refer clients as appropriateProvide referrals to community partners when appropriateContact employers/post-secondary education opportunities by phone or in person and schedule face-to-face meetingsConduct regular assessments tailored to guiding the participant in their career goalsConduct case management duties to determine program eligibility and maintain compliance with funder and Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act guidelinesAttend events to promote Youth Services and meet Youth where they are in the communityRepresent the AJC at events that potentially take place in the evenings or on weekendsOther opportunities as availableRequired Experience:Experience working with disconnected youthSkills and experience in providing career development and counseling assistance Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation requiredExperience in a team-oriented environmentBachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree, and three years of work experience in case management/human services or related experienceAbility to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitudeBring your expertise to EDSI where you will be able to live our values every day: Show Up, Smile and Support!
