A busy and loving family in Tribeca, NY is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to join their team as a housekeeper/house manager ASAP. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 10am-7pm. The family has 3 children, who have their own nanny, but asks that the candidate be comfortable stepping in to help with the children when/if needed. The most important requirement for this role is meticulous attention to detail and exceptional communication skills, paired with the ability to follow and execute precise, detailed instructions consistently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured, high-standard environment, ensuring every aspect of the household is maintained to perfection while proactively supporting the family’s needs.Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping & Home MaintenanceTake full-charge responsibility for the cleanliness and upkeep of the entire home, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areasPerform daily housekeeping tasks: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, removing trashConduct deep cleaning: scrubbing showers/toilets, cleaning window ledges, removing cobwebs, and maintaining overall hygiene standardsMake and refresh beds daily; change linens regularlyOrganize and maintain closets, pantries, storage spaces; perform seasonal clean-upsLaundry & Garment CareManage laundry: washing, folding, ironing, and organizing clothing and linensHandle delicate fabrics with care; identify items needing dry cleaning or special treatmentUse safe, organic stain removal techniquesDrop off/retrieve dry cleaning; coordinate delivery and put away items properlyCooking & Kitchen SupportPrepare light, gluten-free family-style meals as requestedFollow detailed recipes and suggest new dishes aligned with dietary restrictionsCreate weekly menus; take initiative with meal planning and preparationMaintain fridge cleanliness and food freshnessWash dishes, order groceries, unpack and organize kitchen itemsHousehold Management & InventoryMaintain and replenish household supplies promptly, liaise with other staff to coordinate Track and manage household inventory; place and monitor Amazon/online ordersLabel and drop off return packages at UPS, USPS, or FedExFollow and maintain household systems, preferences, and organization standardsCoordinate all deliveries, shipments, and suppliesVendor & Property CoordinationLiaise with the family's executive assistant and other staff, vendors, and service providers (landscapers, electricians, irrigation, etc.)Schedule and oversee maintenance and necessary repairsTravel & Packing SupportPack and unpack for domestic and international travel for all household membersOrganize travel-related items to ensure all essentials are includedDrive rental car when traveling (assist with drop-offs/pick-ups abroad, e.g., Ibiza)Childcare & Family AssistanceServe as backup childcare when neededAssist with childcare support alongside parents and the primary nannyFlexibly manage children’s schedules, pick-ups, and drop-offs during travel or unique circumstancesMeticulous attention to detailand ability to followprecise, written and verbal instructionswithout deviationExceptional communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approachPrior full-time private household experienceDiscretion, reliability, and a high sense of responsibilityValid driver’s license; comfortable driving domestically and internationallyValid Passport Experience working around children and offering occasional childcare supportStrong cooking skills (gluten-free or allergy-conscious preferred)Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, family-focused environmentLegal to work in the USSalary is based on experience, and starts at $120kStandard benefits are offered
