Job Description The Neurophysiology and Cognition Lab led by Dr. Shlomit Beker, PhD, (invites applications for a postdoctoral positon. The research is done on electrophysiological data (EEG and recordings from the periphery) collected through computerized and social tasks, from individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The Beker lab at the Seaver Autism Center studies children and adults with autism and rare genetic disorders, and how they interact with their immediate environment. We apply advanced signal analysis approaches to address questions on cognition and social interaction in these clinical populations. Qualifications The candidate must have: + PhD in neuroscience, cognitive science or related fields, experience with electrophysiology (humans or animals), strong background in signal analysis and computational modeling, good interpersonal skills, and a strong passion to advancing scientific understanding of human cognition in disorders. + Ideal applicants will be committed to developing both their theoretical frameworks and to contribute to ongoing studies.
