The Data Center Engineering Maintenance Technicians have safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within data center operations. The person in this role is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, providing quality repairs and routine maintenance of electrical generator systems, related engine mechanical failures, UPS batteries, and Infrared Scanning of electrical distribution. The Engineering Maintenance Technician is both the technical expert and primary customer support contact to the customer, and is therefore responsible for continually communicating with the customer to provide an exceptional customer experience and drive data center up-time and availability. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities: u2022 Know and follow all Company safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in company accident prevention and safety improvement activities u2022 Travel to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standards u2022 Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs for Diesel Generators, UPS batteries, and Infrared Scanning of electrical distribution. u2022 Advise the Service Manager of parts needed for necessary repairs to Generators, Battery systems, and IR findings u2022 Keep Generator Service Manager continually apprised, and utilize leadership to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary u2022 Document detailed, complete and legible descriptions of all repair operations performed u2022 Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage u2022 Travel 40% of the time in an assigned region, and/or work overtime, weekends for emergency support. u2022 Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 50 lbs u2022 Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required About the team Why AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the worldu2019s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $152,700/year in our highest geographic market.
