Job Description

ViaPath is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The responsibility of the Intelligence Analyst will be to provide direct support to the customer staff. While in this critical position, you will have the opportunity to utilize your training and experience to assist corrections investigations staff in the development of actionable intelligence within the facilities or approved outside law enforcement agencies within established timeframes. The selected candidate will be team oriented, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent communication skills.Position will be a remote based position in the Columbus, OH metro area with a requirement to travel to customer sites as needed. Must be local to Columbus, OH for consideration.Targeting local area Law Enforcement Investigators who have experience with the Intelligence Cycle/Process regarding Fugitive operations.Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interestAssist facility with investigations by utilizing specialized software provided for data mining and link analysisMonitor offender telephone callsEstablish a fundamental understanding of the facility’s operation to include policies and procedures, and data sources available for analysisDemonstrate fundamental understanding of investigative and intelligence processes to include the intelligence cycleProactively develop intelligence to assist in accomplishing facility objectives and missionSubmit detailed reports to facility regarding intelligence findingsSubmit regular reports to superiors outlining level of support and benefit to facilityProvide guidance and training to facility staffFulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized and requestedParticipation in court or other administrative related hearingsDemonstrate a high level of confidentiality and meticulous attention to detailAbility to develop expertise in the area of OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole or other specialized area.A Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, or related field is preferred. Equivalent related years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.A minimum of 2 years of related experience to include reporting and analysis and strong investigative experienceMust have experience in real-time intelligence support during fugitive operationsExperience working with tools such as LexisNexis, CLEAR, Accurint, Palantir, or Analyst’s Notebook (must have worked with at least one of the tools listed)Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and data visualization platformsAbility to develop a fundamental understanding of intelligence processes in a correctional environment to include institutional operations and criminal proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrepared to testify in court or other administrative related hearings as neededProficient in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft SuiteAbility to learn ViaPath and third-party software applications within the first six months of hireAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills with an interest and ability to conduct analysis and report on findingsPro-activeAbility to handle confidential informationFluency (written and verbal) in English is required.
