A busy family of five, residing full-time on the Upper East Side and spending summers in Southampton (Memorial Day to Labor Day), is seeking a full-time housekeeper. This position is live-out in the city and live-in during the summer while in the Hamptons. Accommodations in Southampton consist of a private bedroom and bath. Transportation costs home on days off will be covered. The family has 2 additional housekeepers on staff; however, one is transitioning into a nanny position. The schedule will be Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday, Sunday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. This is a fantastic opportunity for a local candidate.All aspects of general housekeeping, including but not limited to:Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floorsDusting furniture and fixturesClean and sanitize the kitchen and bathroomsEnsure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used properly and stored safelyFollow checklistsMaintain clean and inviting spacesLaundry and ironingChanging linens and making bedsMaintaining household organizationCollaborative team playerFollows directions well and can also work autonomouslyMindful of space and knows how to read a roomComfortable working in an active household with small childrenKnowledgeable about how to clean various surfacesAbility to read clothing labels and follow laundering instructionsTrustworthy and dependableKeen eye for detail and takes pride in their workAbility to keep up in a fast-paced householdMust be able to spend summers in SouthamptonMust be legal to work in the U.S.The family is offering $35 to $40 per hour DOE, along with a benefits package.
