Job Description

Enscicon is currently hiring for a certified welder to perform cavitation repair with CaviTec on a hydro turbine in Colorado. Position Summary: The Welder is responsible for welding, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in our client's facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. OSHA 10 is required. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper work procedures. Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to specifications. Align machines and equipment using precision measuring tools and techniques. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other tradespeople to complete projects and repairs. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work. Qualifications: Candidate must be certified and qualified in welding for cavitation repair. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Proven experience as a millwright or in a similar mechanical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery. Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions. OSHA 10 Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific types of machinery used in power generation facilities. Certification in rigging, welding, or other related trades.
