The Head Cook typically works MondayThursday, 6:00 AM 2:00 PM JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Primary job location: Salmon Junior/Senior High School. 2. Works under the supervision and/or direction of the Food Service Director. 3. Coordinates with administrators, supervisors, staff, and students. 4. Prepares and serves food and beverages according to state and federal guidelines. 5. Maintains sanitary and safe food service operations. 6. Operates and monitors kitchen equipment in a safe manner. 7. Reports maintenance and repair needs in a timely manner. 8. Assists with serving food to students and staff. 9. Keeps accurate daily records as required. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Experience in institutional food preparation preferred. 2. Ability to pass a fingerprint and background check (cost is the responsibility of the applicant). 3. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 4. Ability to work as a team member and to multi-task. 5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 6. Dependable, punctual, and flexible. 7. Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work with the public. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Movement and Positioning 2. Standing/Walking: Extended periods. 3.
