We are looking for experienced Outfitters for a marine manufacturer located in New Orleans. This is a direct-hire opportunity with room for growth. ELIGIBLE FOR $1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS Pay: $22.25 - $34.25 / hour depending on level with quarterly increases Note: Level will be determined based on relevant experience, scope of role, skills, etc. Job Duties: Job includes, but is not limited to, aligning and installing various equipment on the craft. Structural fitting and mechanical outfitting of the craft. Typical tools used in the performance of job duties include pneumatic tools, hand tools such as wrenches, computers, etc. Performs work from Engineering drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions. Maintain records, forms, and logs as required. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: 1-3 years of previous experience Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is necessary for the completion of tasks or work. Ability to perform shop mathematics. Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task. General understanding of metric measuring system. Naval craft experience is a plus. Similar roles may include Mechanic or technician (aircraft/automotive/diesel/heavy equipment/maintenance), framer, pipe fitter/installer/layer, marine carpenter or manufacturer, construction laborer, brick mason, boilermaker, pump mechanic.
