About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Lead to oversee daily operations in a bustling artisanal market. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a small team, ensure high-quality baked goods are consistently produced, and maintain an efficient, positive, and creative work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily bakery operations, ensuring all products meet quality and presentation standards. Oversee production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing waste. Train, mentor, and supervise bakery staff to uphold best practices in baking, food safety, and customer service. Develop and test new recipes, keeping offerings fresh, seasonal, and aligned with the market’s artisanal focus. Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with management on seasonal menus, special promotions, and customer feedback. Monitor sales and adjust production accordingly to maximize efficiency and profitability. Qualifications Proven experience in a bakery, café, or similar food production environment (leadership experience preferred). Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and bread-making. Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Creativity and passion for artisanal baking. Strong communication and leadership skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
