Replaces wiring, conduit, switches, receptacles, and electro/mechanical equipmentRemoves abandoned electrical systemsResponsibilities include high and low tension systems, metering and relayingMakes motor repairsInstalls low voltage wiring and cablingWorks from blueprints and schematics to determine location and layout of circuits, conduits and wiringInstalls new local services for lighting and appliancesUses hand and power toolsRequisitions materials and supplies as neededKeeps work area neat, clean and safeCompletes required departmental paperwork in a timely and legible fashionCommunicates with patients, visitors, and other Hospital employees with tact and courtesyFollows through on all assigned duties until completionMaintains personal appearance in accordance with departmental policy on dress and uniformPerforms other duties as requested by senior managementRequired Qualifications:High School diploma.Five years experience at the journeyman or senior level. Substantial knowledge of the work of the Operational Section.Successful completion of electrical apprentice program .
