Our Officers are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect.Location:Luxury Corporate Office CenterDowntown Chicago - South Loop*MUST HAVE PREVIOUS LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE**MUST HAVE PREVIOUS POLICE OFFICER EXPERIENCE***LEOSA ID REQUIRED - See requirements for more detailsMust have previous Law Enforcement experience from a municipal Police DepartmentMust be a retired Police OfficerPatrol and monitor building plaza, remove solicitors, trespassers or unauthorized visitors from groundsMaintain a professional demeanor, aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guestsMaintain a visible presence in the facility / building assignedMonitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activityResponsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, and guestsAnswer all phones in a professional mannerPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exitsKnow the facility / building policies and procedures; enforce them within the limits of the positionPerform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicleObserve departing personnel to protect against the theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirementsFollow established emergency action planning and proceduresMonitor alarms and systems Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directedThe essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assignedMandatory Law Enforcement experience from a municipal police departmentActive licenses and/or certifications that meet all state and municipality requirements for armed security officersState or municipality mandated security officer licenses - PERC CardMinimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalentMust have a LEOSA ID or have the ability to obtain oneMust have your own firearmMust have reliable means of communication and transportationStrong interpersonal communication skills; neat and professional appearanceWrite routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reportingPrevious contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpfulHarvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities.Pay Rate:$35.00 per hourAbout Harvard Protection Services: Harvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
