Perfect Communications in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Technician to join our production team. This is an on-site position. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing digital files and ensuring all materials are print-ready before they go to press. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a keen eye for quality and accuracy. This is a second shift position with a flexible starting time.Review and preflight digital files to ensure they meet print specifications and quality standardsCorrect and optimize files for various printing processes, including color correction, image resolution, and proper bleedsPerform file format conversions and prepare files for different output devicesCreate and impose layouts according to press requirements and finishing specificationsTroubleshoot file issues and work with clients or designers to resolve problemsManage color and ensure accurate color matchingProof files digitally and create hard proofs when necessaryMaintain organized digital asset management and file archiving systemsCollaborate with press operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflowStay current with industry software and printing technologiesOutput and unload plates from automated plate processorRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience in prepress, printing, or graphic productionProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro)Strong understanding of color management, file formats, and print production processesKnowledge of preflight software and RIP systemsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of setting up variable data files or scripting abilities is a plus.Preferred SkillsExperience with automation workflows and hot folder systemsFamiliarity with various printing methods (offset, digital, wide format)Knowledge of PDF/X standards and industry best practicesUnderstanding of bindery and finishing processes$24 to $26 per hour401-k with matchHealth, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffShort Term and Long Term DisabilityLife Insurance#IND1
