Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Billing Clerk to join our team in Plainview, New York. This role is essential in ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and maintaining proper financial records. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable and billing processes, along with a commitment to efficiency and precision. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding. u2022 Manage accounts payable functions, including preparing and executing check runs. u2022 Verify invoice details and resolve discrepancies promptly. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records related to billing and payments. u2022 Collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and ensure smooth transactions. u2022 Generate and reconcile reports related to accounts payable activities. u2022 Assist in month-end closing tasks by providing accurate accounts payable data. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all transactions. u2022 Support the billing process by preparing and reviewing invoices for accuracy. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. u2022 Proficiency in coding invoices and handling invoice processing tasks. u2022 Strong knowledge of check runs and payment procedures. u2022 Familiarity with billing processes and financial recordkeeping. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members. u2022 Knowledge of accounting software and tools is preferred.
