Responsibilities The Social Media Specialist II develops and implements internet marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction. Responsible for the planning and execution of all social media strategy on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery. u2022 Manage day-to-day community engagement and communications. u2022 Provide input and support in designing brand enhancing campaigns and programs to achieve specific business objectives and brand affinity goals. u2022 Manage monthly giveaways and contests, including scheduling, player entry tracking, winner selection, and prize fulfillment. u2022 Execute social content with internal resources and agency partners. Content to support products, myLOTTERY promotions, event team promotions, campaigns, digital, and the sales teamu2019s objectives. u2022 This position is also a u201ccontent creatoru201d and helps capture real-time and lifestyle content for social. u2022 Attending select events like the State Fair, Colts, Pacers and other sponsorships throughout the year to capture content and create Reels, Stories, etc. Capture the excitement of the event for our social channels. u2022 Manage the paid media strategy and ongoing support with the Hoosier Lottery's current media buying agency. u2022 Define and own reporting metrics and KPIs for the Hoosier Lottery's social channels. Analyze data and prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior staff members and the Hoosier Lottery, as needed. u2022 Work with agency partners to identify and execute our influencer strategy throughout the year. u2022 Review and help manage execution of our creative agency's social media campaign assets. u2022 Responsible for social listening, communicating player chatter, and media trends to the wider teams as applicable. u2022 Monitor activity across all channels and address issues as needed during and occasionally outside of traditional business hours. Escalate to the appropriate team members as needed. u2022 Work with all internal stakeholders to develop, maintain, and communicate social media calendar and strategy. u2022 Operate within Hoosier Lottery guidelines including, but not limited to, Hoosier Lottery's Marketing Code of Conduct and Responsible Gaming guidelines while executing social programs, promotions, and giveaways. u2022 Provide social support for Hoosier Lottery's field Promotions team as needed Provide support for field events on occasion. u2022 Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications u2022 Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent years of successful work experience. u2022 5+ years of experience in digital or social media required. u2022 Experience with Social Media management platforms (Falcon/Brandwatch, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.). u2022 Experience creating content for social platforms u2013 example: Instagram Reels, Stories, etc. u2022 Working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrated required. u2022 Customer service experience preferred. u2022 Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a mixture of remote (Monday and Friday) and in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The estimated starting salary range is _$40,887 - $115,000_ . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles may be eligible for short-term incentive or other discretionary bonuses.
