Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Orange, California. This role requires expertise in managing financial aspects of construction projects, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, and job costing. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work in a paper-intensive environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee financial operations related to construction projects, including billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. u2022 Manage job costing to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses. u2022 Handle subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with contractual agreements. u2022 Process and review change orders to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Collaborate with project teams to provide timely financial reporting and insights. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records. u2022 Ensure all documentation is organized and retained in a paper-intensive environment. u2022 Support the team by maintaining detailed and accurate financial records. u2022 Address and resolve discrepancies in project accounting processes. u2022 Assist with other accounting tasks as needed to support project goals. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction. u2022 Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices, including change orders and subcontractor management. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Experience working in a paper-intensive environment. u2022 Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. u2022 Familiarity with job costing and financial reporting processes.
