Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician - EWIS, to sit onsite at an Aerospace client in Santa Clara, CA. This person will work closely with engineers and technicians to support the assembly, integration, and testing of Electrical Wiring and Interconnect Systems (EWIS) for an eVTOL aircraft. This person will play a key role in ensuring product quality, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Some day-to-day tasks include: interpreting drawings/schematics, build/route wiring harnesses, set up and maintain routing tools, conduct continuity/operational tests, ensure safety and quality standards and maintain documentation. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u25cf Minimum 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry as an engineering technician. u25cf Associateu2019s degree or certification in a field of engineering technology (4+ years of experience can substitute for education requirements) u25cf Experience with wire harness fabrication, high-voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers. u25cf Proficiency in standard aerospace wiring practices (wire stripping, crimping, soldering) u25cf Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures, tool control, foreign object debris (FOD) prevention, and industry regulations. u25cf Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering instructions, and FAA guidelines. u25cf Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams. u25cf Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. u25cf Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities. u25cf Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that may expose you to hazardous materials u25cf Knowledge of IPC 610/620 o NASA-STD-8739 & AC43.13-B standards. u25cf Experience in Computer-Aided Design software (CAD) such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Catia, Etc. u25cf A&P certification or equivalent experience. u25cf Experience working with electric aircraft, aircraft configuration management, and FAA conformity. u25cf New Product Development experience in Aerospace & Aviation
