Senior Corporate Counsel - Benefits at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Oracle Legal is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Benefits Counsel to provide legal guidance and strategic support regarding Oracle’s U.S. employee benefit plans and programs. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, support the development and implementation of benefits policies, and partner with internal stakeholders to manage risk and drive operational excellence. Preferred Qualifications: + Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school. + Active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar. + Minimum 8 years of experience as an attorney (in-house experience a plus) practicing primarily in the area of employee benefits + Strong knowledge of US benefit and leave laws, including the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, MHPAEA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, and HIPAA. + Strong analytical, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. + Excellent judgment with the ability to make decisions and give practical advice that incorporates legal analysis and demonstrates an understanding of overall business objectives and risk tolerance. + Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion. Responsibilities + Advise Benefits and other internal teams on the design, administration, and compliance of Oracle’s U.S. employee benefit plans, including 401(k) plan, health & welfare plans, fringe benefit programs, nonqualified deferred compensation plan, and leave of absence. + Provide legal advice on employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, paid and unpaid leave programs, short- and long-term disability, and state/local leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. + Counsel on employee accommodation requests and processes in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar international regulations, supporting interactive dialogue and reasonable accommodation determinations. + Monitor, interpret, and communicate legislative and regulatory developments affecting employee benefits, leaves, and accommodations e.g. ERISA, IR To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
