Work Schedule: 2 weeks 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (2-2-3 schedule)/ 2 weeks 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (2-2-3 schedule) Overview: Operate/maintain 2 Union Iron work and 1 Keeler boiler, all auxiliary equipment to ensure minimum of 85 pounds of steam provided to the facility from the Boiler House. Provide Facility Maintenance support to ensure efficient operation of all equipment. We are seeking candidates with at least 2,000 hours of relevant work experience. If you do not currently hold a City of Rochester Class 3 Stationary Engineering License but are interested and willing to obtain it within two years of hire, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:Collect and maintain as required data and records.Utilize Energy Management System to operate equipment.Respond to written, verbal trouble calls from building tenants.Perform regular water system tests, log readings and add treatment as needed.Perform routine HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing, & Electrical repairs/PMs.Observe company safety rules and regulations, practice good housekeeping, maintain company quality and performance standards, and report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor.Monitor inventory/order materials for Boiler House.Provide support to Engineering/supervision in obtaining cost estimates. Requires the use of drawings, sketches and measuring equipment.Overtime, as required. Provide additional support for vacations, illness, holidays, etc.Train others in essential job functions, as needed. Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2000 hours of qualifying work experience.Prefer City of Rochester Class 3 Stationery Engineering License or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of hire.Prefer 7G Pesticide Technician Certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.Operations experience.3- 5 years experience preferred.
