Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Install and hook-up manufacturing equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements, and balance circuits for proper power distribution.Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical components.Hire and build out facility Controls Team.Lead the Controls Team in new equipment and upgrade projects.Manage Electrical Contractors to maintain facility electrical systems.Diagnose nature of problem, perform a variety of electrical test procedures, disassemble equipment and replace defective parts, make connections, reassemble and test.Design control panels designed to UL Standards.Proficiency with VFD programming and troubleshooting.Able to take call outs for machine brake-downs (all hours).Work closely with engineering to alter and modify production machinery.Perform daily inspections of all equipment plant wide to identifypossible equipment problems.Pull parts as required from stock, notify purchasing clerk or supervisor when to reorder parts.Proficient in sizing loads and breaker sizing for machinery.Experience with PLC Ladder Logic and Function Block diagram programming.Program and troubleshoot with GE, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s.Draw basic circuits and electrical diagrams for small equipment.Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Electrical work design and implementation.Designing safety systems.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Associated Degree in an Automation/Electrical program is requiredBachelors Degree in Related field4 years of experience in a related fieldKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:Possesses a strong ability to work independently, as well as part of a high functioning maintenance and engineering team.
