Description We are looking for an experienced Quality Test Engineer III to join our remote team. Must be based in Illinois. This long-term contract position focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through performance and automation testing, while supporting key quality assurance initiatives. The role requires collaboration across teams and active participation in Agile methodologies to align testing efforts with business goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify defects and manage their resolution within the defect tracking system. u2022 Create and implement automated testing frameworks to establish reliable regression test suites. u2022 Conduct reviews of automation code to ensure adherence to established quality standards and best practices. u2022 Analyze and document test results, identifying root causes of issues and collaborating with stakeholders to address them. u2022 Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing accurate effort estimates and contributing to technical design discussions. u2022 Collaborate with test leads and other team members to perform proof-of-concept activities for strategic QA initiatives. u2022 Partner with developers and other stakeholders to resolve defects and remove development blockers. u2022 Research and propose tools or methodologies to enhance testing capabilities and improve product quality. u2022 Champion continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices. u2022 Maintain testing documentation and release notes to support internal and external audits. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Groovy. u2022 Strong understanding of web services and related technologies. u2022 Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks. u2022 Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in quality assurance. u2022 Proven ability to document and analyze testing processes and results. u2022 Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members. u2022 Demonstrated ability to research, plan, and implement process improvements. u2022 Familiarity with performance testing and root cause analysis techniques.
