The FacilitiesSpecialist is a critical technical and administrative resource withinthe Engineering & Facilities team, responsible for executing andcoordinating a broad range of activities essential to sustainingcompliant pharmaceutical operations. This role serves as the centralpoint of contact for facility badge management, quality systemdocumentation, vendor coordination, procurement of maintenance andcalibration resources, and the planning and execution of semiannualplant shutdowns. Additionally, the Facilities Specialist leads specialprojects tied to complex pharmaceutical equipment lifecycle management -from procurement through qualification and decommissioning - ensuringall activities align with regulatory standards and business objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully,an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include thefollowing but other duties may be assigned. Drive timely completion anddocumentation of Quality System Events (Events, Deviations, CAPAs, NCRs)acting as the point of contact for all departmental qualityinvestigations. Coordinate and maintain vendor relationships formaintenance and calibration services; support contract negotiations andensure vendor compliance. Develop and execute semiannual shutdown planswith cross-functional teams to complete all maintenance, calibration,and validation activities. Source and procure maintenance andcalibration tools, spare parts, and equipment; manage inventories tosupport uninterrupted GMP operations. Support departmental CMMS needs,equipment onboarding, work plan template creating/editing, work orderreviews, and asset decommissioning. Lead or support special projects forcomplex equipment lifecycle management, including specification,installation, qualification, periodic review, and decommissioning.Maintain GMP documentation, support audits, and serve as technical pointof contact for facilities processes.
