Description We are looking for a highly organized and meticulous Accountant to join our team in Sonoma County, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient transaction processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and a commitment to upholding internal controls and best practices. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately process and record accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, corporate credit cards, and intercompany transactions in a timely manner. u2022 Conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date and precise financial records. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and avoiding errors such as duplicate or mis-coded payments. u2022 Utilize software tools, including Excel and Yardi, to produce accurate and relevant financial reports. u2022 Document accounting procedures and maintain strong internal controls to support best practices. u2022 Monitor and record real estate development costs, as well as track revenues and expenses from grants, donations, and contributions. u2022 Assist with the preparation of periodic and one-time financial reports for management and external stakeholders. u2022 Support the annual financial statement audit process by providing accurate data and documentation. u2022 Build strong relationships with vendors and other stakeholders through clear and effective communication. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on property accounting preferred. u2022 Proficiency in Yardi software for financial management tasks. u2022 Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger processes. u2022 Proven ability to manage month-end close activities efficiently and accurately. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to accuracy. u2022 Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, team members, and external stakeholders.
