Expediter Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Expediter to manage and expedite orders through email and phone communication. The role involves ensuring timely order processing and effective communication with suppliers to obtain order updates and status. Responsibilities + Manage and expedite orders via email and phone. + Communicate with suppliers to obtain order updates and status. + Review and update backlogged orders, informing the inside sales team of any changes. + Track the companyu2019s Open Purchase Order report to ensure timely acknowledgments and updated ship dates and communicate changes to the buyer and inside sales representative. + Collaborate with the team on acknowledging purchase orders. + Assist with system pricing updates as assigned. + Provide requisition purchasing support to team members. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel basics. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + A positive attitude and a self-starter mindset. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in logistics and expediting materials. + Strong data entry skills. + Familiarity with inventory management. Work Environment The work environment involves collaboration with a team and requires regular communication through email and phone. The role demands accuracy in data entry and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for order tracking and management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
