SAFETY MANAGERPreference for candidates located in Colorado or TexasPOSITION SUMMARYThe Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies, programs, and procedures across all field and construction operations within the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) environment. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), and works closely with internal teams and contractors to foster a culture of safety and accountability. The Safety Manager conducts audits, leads training initiatives, investigates incidents, and proactively identifies risks to ensure the well-being of all employees, subcontractors, and the public.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and manage a comprehensive safety program tailored to FTTH construction and operations, including field, warehouse, and office environments.Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws and standards (OSHA, DOT, local/state regulations).Conduct regular job site audits, hazard assessments, and safety inspections.Lead root cause analysis and incident investigations; implement corrective actions and track closure.Oversee and deliver safety training for employees and contractors (e.g., PPE, confined space, fall protection, traffic control).Collaborate with field supervisors, construction managers, and project leads to promote safety best practices.Maintain and analyze safety records, reports, and metrics to track trends and support continuous improvement.Manage safety documentation, including SDS records, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety data collection.Support the onboarding of new hires and vendors with appropriate safety orientation and compliance tracking.Lead safety committee meetings and drive safety culture initiatives across the organization.Respond to emergencies or incidents and coordinate with appropriate agencies when needed.Create reporting for KPI reviews across key areas, such as: Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR), Safety Audit Compliance Rate, Training Completion & Compliance Metrics, Near-Miss Reporting and Resolution Rate, Corrective Action Closure Rate, Overall Safety Culture Engagement ScoresCORE COMPETENCIESThere are several competencies required to be successful in this position. Travel schedules may be predictable or variable depending on the needs of the project and may take short trips, longer trips, or extended stays depending on the needs of the project. COMPENSATION & BENEFITSBase pay is paid at a salary rate.
