The Application Engineer will promote and sell containment equipment in the fields of Pharmaceutical, Bio Pharmaceutical, Cell and Gene Therapy products.Duties:Qualify and pursue sales leads for containment equipment in the pharmaceutical, bio pharmaceutical, cell, and gene therapy product fieldsWork with Pharmaceutical Applications Manger to promote and sell containment equipmentEngage with customers through extended Q&A sessions, exhibitions, and attend virtual/in-person customer meetingsReview and interpret customer documentsUse phone/email/meetings and Microsoft Word to obtain quotes from sub-suppliersUse Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to perform calculations and generate quotationsNegotiate ordersAssist the Marketing Department with the development of literature, signage, and tools to be used at various sales events, exhibitions, and the company website.Run sales reports and basic statistical analysisAnalyze trends using Microsoft ExcelOther duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Associates and/or Bachelors degree from an accredited university2+ years of experience with industrial equipment sales, notably containment processes for the pharmaceutical and chemical marketsOR3+ years of experience in an industrial/large lab setting, utilizing containment and pharmaceutical production equipment.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerpointPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Chemistry, Physics, Math, or Engineering1+ years of experience with sterile processing or sterile processing equipment salesDemonstrated ability to read and comprehend a Piping and Instrumentation DiagramDemonstrated understanding of Occupational Exposure Bands (OEB), Occupational Exposure Levels (OEL), and the necessary methods of confinement to meet specified OEBs/OELs1+ years of experience with equipment validation in the pharmaceutical industryPhysical Requirements:Domestic and International travel (10% - 30%) - requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pullingSalary/Rate Range:$68,334 - $116,133Salaries/Rate Ranges will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
